modern mondays: rethinking the unimaginable

there must be something in our water over here at style house realty because we are still obsessed with making the most of smaller spaces. if you’ve ever been house hunting before [even if you are looking for a home to rent] then you’ve probably been in a home that was just slightly off the mark from what you wanted. “if only this space were more usable” rings in realtor’s ears over and over again. in many homes, like cape cods for exmaple, a bedroom- or the master bedroom- is in the attic with all the weird sloping roof pitches. people see this area many times as dead space and only good for storage. well, folks, hopefully this blog post will help you take a second look at those “unusable” spaces.

*remember, if you are selling your home, every bit of square footage is fair game! leave no space unused and maximize every room to it’s fullest!*

afraid that roof pitch is going to get in your way of adding a shower in your attic? if there is a will, there is a way!

have enough bedrooms downstairs? you can make that space a relaxing hide-away.

sometimes the seemingly awkward spaces end up being the most whimsical.

lots of little ones with limited space? take a look at this.

here is another amazing nook that i just had to post. with the modern railings and cat-walk feel to the attic space, it makes the space feel open.
