are you a yard enthusiast that also has an infinity for the environment? shouldn’t those two go hand-in-hand automatically? if you love your yard, you want to treat it right! here are some natural recipes to keep away those pesky insects and maintain your yard looking beautiful. did i mention you will also save some money by using these remedies?
to keep away general insects:
2 tablepoons mineral oil
2 tablespoons dish soap
1 liter of water
mix together in a spray bottle and spray over plants and yard.
1 clove of chopped garlic [or onion, or both!]
2 tablespoons dish soap
1 liter of water
let the chopped garlic and onion sit in the water for 24 hours. mix in dish soap and shake. use a spray bottle.
to keep ants away:
2 tablespoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoon citrus oil
3 cups of hot water
shake and spray over the area where ants are abundant.
to keep slugs out of your garden:
pour a can of beer into a bowl and leave out over night.
